If you’re planning a visit to Greythorn Central over the coming weeks, please be aware of significant traffic disruptions on the Eastern Freeway throughout February. These works form part of the next major construction phase for the North East Link, and while they’re essential, they will affect travel times for many locals and visitors.

WHAT’S HAPPENING

Bulleen Road Citybound Exit Ramp Closure

4 February – mid‑March 2026
From 9pm Wednesday 4 February, the Bulleen Road citybound exit ramp will be closed for up to six weeks. Crews will be working around the clock to build a new shared path underpass, install new noise walls and complete major pavement works.
Expected delays: up to 20 minutes

Eastern Freeway Citybound Weekend Closure

10pm Friday 6 February – 5am Monday 9 February
The Eastern Freeway will be closed citybound between Bulleen Road and Doncaster Road for an intensive construction blitz.
Expected delays: up to 60 minutes
If possible, please avoid the area and plan an alternative route.
