Halloween at Greythorn – A spookiliciously successful event

The Halloween at Greythorn festival held on 26 October 2023 was a huge success.

From 4-8pm the Greythorn Central shopping strip was abuzz with families who came out in force dressed in Halloween costume to enjoy the great lolly giveaway and all the free fun activities of the festival.

The weather, although a little chilly and windy, didn’t deter the crowds from attending this fabulous fun family event.

The event organized by Greythorn Marketing Coordinator Yolanda Torrisi is sponsored and funded by the Greythorn Traders Association and supported with a Boroondara City Council triennial grant.

Families enjoyed free face painting, balloon twisting clowns, carnival rides, entertainment from the Greythorn Community Hub, photo booth, the great lolly giveaway and had the opportunity to win more than 70 prizes donated by the businesses at Greythorn. The Melbourne Ballet School conducted a Thriller dance for spectators.

This is what families had to say about the event:
“What a fantastic event. We’re having so much fun.”
“This event is a real treat for our community and you haven’t missed a trick.”
“This is the 4th time we’ve come and we just love the Greythorn shops and community.”
“Greythorn businesses are so supportive of the North Balwyn community. We are so lucky to have this group of shops here who give us this event every year.”

The event was a huge success and Greythorn businesses look forward to welcoming families back to Greythorn throughout the year for all your shopping needs.
